Pre-Season Highlights

The following forms and information were distributed in the Feb 7 team meeting:

If you or a parent were not in attendance, it is your responsibility to pick up paperwork, place orders, make payments, and schedule a meeting with coach to discuss team rules and handbook)

  • GHHS Athletics Forms (pick up packet, review, and drop off signed forms with Mrs. Way in the GHHS Athletic Office prior to March 6)
  • GHAPS Guide for Parent/Coach Communications
  • Team Handbooks (call coach to coordinate a meeting to go over team rules) Review all policies and procedures with parents. Sign form on back page and return to a coach or Athletic Office prior to March 6

Team Order for Under Layers, Sticks, Goggles-DUE Feb 13 (extended deadline)

Bus Transportation/Fundraising/Charitable Tax Donations:

Parents voted unanimously for bus transportation to out of town games. Discussion followed about raising $2,500 to cover the expense. Peg Davis volunteered to head a committee to solicit donations from the community, Tracy Miller volunteered to assist and several parents wrote donation checks at the meeting. Committee member have already raised several hundred dollars through personal contacts.

They will be contacting you soon to ask you to reach out to employers, friends, family, etc. who would be willing to make a tax deductible charitable donation to the team.

In addition, if anyone wants to advertise on our website we are selling ads for $200 each. We have already raised $400 in ad revenue.

Let's all see what we can do to help the committee reach our fundraising goal.

Parent Meeting-Tues. Feb 7

REMINDER! Get your athletic physical done before the start of the season. If you have already done one for another sport in this school year, no worries. That will work. If your physical was done prior to June 15, 2011, you need a new one for this year.
